"One third of American's winning the Nobel Prize in sciences since 1900 were immigrants, despite representing only 10% of the population." Neil deGrasse Tyson

A great example of the power of diversity from astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, highlighting the need for leaders to create a place that attracts the most talented from around the world, whatever their background.

Australia has one of the most diverse populations in the world. 26% of us were born overseas and nearly half (49%) of all Australians have at least one parent who was born overseas.

What a fantastic opportunity for us to embrace our diversity and change the meaning of being 'the lucky country' from one of derision to a compliment.
